2020 Mazda 6 After the Redesign

As heard from various sources, Mazda, our favorite Japanese Automaker is all set to show the world their newly designed vehicles that will be now more powerful yet fuel efficient with the new SkyActiv-X laid under their hoods. Will the 2020 Mazda 6 have the same fortune? Let’s get the news!

The Mazda 6 series being so far one of the most attractive vehicles in the lineup of Mazda  was also an exceptionally good utility car. So, when Mazda got all its products redesigned with a new human-centric concept, can it leave the 2020 Mazda 6 out from the show? Hopefully not! On the contrary, it is rumored that the new design of the 2020 Mazda 6 is inspired by its own vision coupe concept, and we confirmed the news from the Las Vegas car dealers

The Upcoming 2020 Mazda6 Design

For those who have been following the design history of Mazda cars must be familiar with the influence of the Kodo design concept on each and every model. That was the concept that has enriched the automotive market with some exemplary designs that not only look good from the outside, but also make the onlookers feel a strong urge to drive one. The concept has also a strong impact on the Mazda designers who realized the importance of establishing a close relationship between the driver and the car, uniting them as one, so that the driver feels the car only to be an extension of his own body that moves and rolls on the roads.

But when we see the cars like 2020 Mazda 6 from the outside, our attention gets drawn to the following features that are no doubt unique from the rest :

2020 Mazda 6 Design Components

Since the 2018 design, the Mazda 6 lineup could create a strong appeal on its onlookers through  its design components both inside and out. The overall fresh premium look was derived from the gorgeous headlights, that sits perfectly at both the sides of the intakes holding upright the Mazda signature logo on the brilliantly crafted grille. Sliding the sides with a smooth surface travelling to the rear end, the aerodynamic shape takes the shape of a spoiler, leaving a long lasting impression of beauty on the onlookers.

Design to Match the Fuel Efficient Engine

It is a known fact that the aerodynamic design isn’t only an additional component to increase the fuel efficiency of a car, it is a necessary one. That’s how we see all the cars today sharing a similar pattern, rather than trying to look different. For the 2020 Mazda 6, the new design will comply with the aerodynamic concept to fit in the 2.5-liter four-cylinder as its primary engine option making a modest 187 hp. But it needs to be accommodating enough to place the bigger 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder to make an impressive 250 units of horsepower after matching with the efficiency of a six-speed automatic transmission.
