Week 1 of the preseason gave us the taste of NFL football we desperately needed, and now it’s already time for Week 2! This slate of exhibition football will bring us a few fun matchups and more playing time for some first stringers, and although we wish it meant something, that’s still a win.
One of those intriguing matchups will occur between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars in the Foles Bowl, as Nick Foles’ current and former teams will face off for the first time since he departed Philadelphia in free agency (though the Jaguars announced that he won’t actually play, though, putting a damper on the entire concept of the Foles Bowl.)

How to watch the Eagles vs Jaguars online
Well, if not, I can’t blame you. The entertainment value in these games isn’t very high to begin with and it’s only worse with the Eagles (likely) not playing their starters. We’re not going to get that Carson Wentz versus Nick Foles “battle” we thought we might see when the preseason schedule first came out. That’s too bad.
We’re not even going to get some Nate Sudfeld action since the Eagles’ backup quarterback is hurt. I think we can all admit that Sudfeld was at least watchable. Can you really say the same for Cody Kessler — who will be “starting” against his former team this week — and Clayton Thorson? They’ve yet to prove they can even run a coherent drive on this team.
So, there’s a part of me that’s dreading this game on Thursday night. But there’s also a sick part of me that enjoys any kind of Eagles football I can get, no matter how bad it might be. I can’t not watch it. I suspect I’m not alone in this regard.
Here’s hoping the game will be enjoyable as it possibly can be. There are a number of players worth watching as they try to earn playing time and/or jobs on the 53-man roster. At least there’s that.
